Why people choose Diamond

Hands on, every visit

Your therapist works with you directly. You aren't handed a sheet of exercises and left in a corner.

A plan that changes if you're stuck

If you aren't getting better, we change the plan. Every treatment is built for the person, not the diagnosis code.

A local practice, not a system

Jerry DeRiso opened the Ligonier office in March 2000. Diamond is still his practice, and his wife Von still runs the office.

Equipment you won't find nearby

A full-body cryo chamber, a 30 foot therapy pool and the Meilus robot, all at the Latrobe office.

Questions, by who’s asking

The things people call the front desk about. Still stuck? Call the office closest to you.

I have a referral, or a friend sent me

Do I need a referral to see a physical therapist? Confirming

In Pennsylvania you can see a physical therapist who holds a direct access certificate for up to 30 days without a doctor’s referral. Call the office and we’ll tell you what applies to you and your insurance.

Which office should I go to?

The one closest to home, since you’ll be coming back a few times a week. If your plan calls for the pool or the cryo chamber, those are at Latrobe.

Do you take my insurance? List to come

Call the office with your insurance card in hand and we’ll check your coverage before your first visit.

What happens at my first visit?

A licensed physical therapist evaluates you, listens to what’s going on and builds a plan around you. If the plan isn’t working after a few visits, we change it.

I’m in pain and looking on my own

What do you treat?

Back and neck pain, recovery after surgery (shoulders, knees, hips), vertigo and balance problems, TMJ pain with Dr. Greg Lane in Greensburg, sciatica and disc problems, and sports injuries.

What is spinal decompression?

A non-surgical treatment that gently takes pressure off the discs in your lower back or neck. It’s used for herniated and bulging discs, degenerative disc disease and sciatica.

Can you help with dizziness and balance?

Yes. Vertigo and balance problems are some of the most common complaints in people over 65, and most never get them treated. Our vertigo and balance therapy works on the cause, not just the symptoms.

How is Diamond different from a hospital clinic?

We’re an independent local practice. You work hands-on with a small team that knows you, and you have access to equipment most clinics around here don’t have.

I’m here for cryo, laser or the pool

What is a cryo session like?

You step into the chamber for two to three and a half minutes of very cold, dry air, between -140 and -176°F. We provide gloves, a mask and ear covers. The whole visit takes about 12 minutes.

How much does cryotherapy cost?

$35 a single session. We also sell packs of 4, 8 and 12 sessions and monthly or yearly memberships. Call the Latrobe office for package prices.

Can my team come in as a group?

Yes. Coaches book group times for their teams during the season. Call the Latrobe office to set one up.

How much is laser therapy? Estimate

About $60 a session. Call the office to confirm the price and how many sessions you’ll likely need.

Do I have to be a therapy patient to use the cryo chamber? Confirming

No. Anyone can book a session or buy a membership at the Latrobe office.
